1.  Hotel Sorrento starts this weekend
The Dunsborough Theatre Group (aka Wild Capers) is offering you a wonderful play by Hannie Rayson,  "HOTEL SORRENTO".
Sorrento is a town very similar to Dunsborough. The play starts as a comedy on Australian attitudes to culture and the vexed question of our determination to cut down 'tall poppies'.
It also depicts the legacy left by the male dominated society of the '50's.  It moves on to become a family drama of hidden secrets. It is crafted by one of Australia's finest playwrights.

The cast includes some of the finest actors from the Weld Theatre: Janet Dickinson, Mike Little, Peter Seghini, and Kristina Ollenburg. Rounded off by Amy Little, Alex Dunning, Shane Greaves and Jane Frances.
It is being directed by Liza Black, with the assistant director Margaret Sanft.
It is being performed at the Old Dunsborough Hall April 25, 26 27 and May 2,3,4 with matinees on the Sundays.

Tickets available now from TryBooking:  https://www.trybooking.com/CZHQJ

2.  Progress on the Weld Theatre
Keep yourself up-to-date on progress at our local Weld Theatre.  Over the next few months, we hope to be able to get our theatre ready for activity, events, shows and a big party to celebrate our return after so long.  Latest news is that we will be back in action on 30 June.
So, keep your eyes open for news in your inbox, or on our website at www.busseltonrepertory.com.au .

3.  A new Repertory Club logo?
We are looking for ideas for a possible new logo to showcase on our shirts, promotions and at the theatre.  You may prefer to stick with our present logo. Or do you have some ideas we could use if we go for a new design?  Let us know, as we prepare for the grand re-opening of the Weld Theatre soon.

Check out some more details.....
Dunsborough Theatre group will be putting on the iconic Australian play "Hotel Sorrento" written by Hannie Rayson and directed by Liza Black. It is an interesting look at family dynamics especially amongst three sisters whose lives have taken very different paths. Will they be able to overcome things that took place ten years ago and how did those feelings affect them when they are together again?

The staging of this play is challenging because of the technical difficulties of many scenes all on stage at the same time. The play has required that we have a smooth transition from one scene to another using clever lighting and eliminating the use of blackouts.
We are lucky that Liza has returned from Perth in order to stage this play and we are also lucky to have such a stellar cast. Busselton audiences will recognise some of our well loved local thespians.
Performances are as follows.........Friday April 25th and 2nd May at 7-30pm. Saturday April 26th and May 3rd at 7-30pm. Sunday April 27th and May 4th matinees at 2-30pm. Both Sunday matinees will include complimentary afternoon tea during the interval.
